Sinopse:
Ambientado em uma realidade surreal e hiperbólica, "Mi Coro" apresenta entrevistas com vários voguers latino-americanos. Elus detalham suas tentativas fracassadas de comunicação com uma nova espécie alienígena conhecida como cis-heterossexuais, e as diferentes maneiras pelas quais isso resultou em ostracismo e violência para elus. Com a ajuda de um querido amigo e antropólogo, eles chegam à conclusão de que o voguing sempre foi a ferramenta de que precisavam para se comunicar com essa espécie alienígena.
Moréna Espiritual
Moréna Espiritual is a trans afro-indigenous performance artist, musician, and director based in Puerto Rico. His work is an ode to colonial resistance, utilizing themes such as surrealism and time travel to create narratives where oppressed peoples can be seen reclaiming their freedom - to exist, to openly express themselves, find joy and be imperfect. As a queer black person himself, his work often highlights the Caribbean afro diaspora and LGBTQ+ community. The 2022 NALAC Artist Grant Award recipient is known internationally, having worked all over the United States (most notably The Brooklyn Academy of Music & New York Live Arts), Europe, Canada and Latin America. Platforms like The Atlantic, Harvard Radio, IMER Mexico, the British Institute of Film and institutions such as VisArts and NYU have recognized his work, among others.
